While some games have more powerful requirements than this GPU, the Radeon RX 580 Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB is only really challenged by the most demanding games released today, but normally it is more than capable of running games with a stable frame rate at 1080p. Show All games with system requirements of DirectX 12 or lower are met by this card. We take a look at game performance achieved on this graphics card when running 2024 popular games. This short Radeon RX 580 Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB game hardware review looks at the graphics card frame rate performance on Ultra graphics settings at 1080p, 1440p and 4K screen resolutions. In comparison to the game recommended requirements of the 1000 most demanding games played today this PC hardware can run 736. The 1080p FPS on Ultra for the Radeon RX 580 Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB shows us that Battlefield 2042 is getting a weak result of 22 FPS, and then we are seeing Back 4 Blood returning a reasonable 49 FPS while another game on our list is the Far Cry 6 which is getting 31 frames per second at Ultra 1080p. As the PC gaming masses explore larger screen resolutions we decided to run some game checks at 1440p across a few popular games. We discovered the Radeon RX 580 Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB ran Back 4 Blood to a playable performance level. Results across the graphics settings looked like this, Low: 98 FPS, Medium: 77 FPS, High: 52 FPS and Ultra: 37 FPS. Another game tested was Far Cry 6, L: 62FPS, M: 49FPS, H: 33FPS, U: 24FPS. And then we checked graphics card performance on Battlefield 2042, which returned L: 44FPS, M: 35FPS, H: 23FPS, U: 17FPS at 1440p. Running games at 1440p with a Radeon RX 580 Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB is a reasonable choice for most modern games at 1440p, but you may encounter some need to adjust graphics settings down from Ultra to High in some cases to improve gaming stability. CommentsGood23 mins ago. ,m CommentWe bought an Rx480 in 2016 (which was revolutionary), and the Rx580 is just a factory overclocking of the Rx480. Right now it's a great value if you can find one for $250, unfortunately because of crypto currency miners it's not a good value over $300. Last year's Rx480 crushes every game at 60+ fps at 1920x1200 (WUXGA) which is greater than 1080p, and the Rx580 is even faster !! As usual, the benchmarks on this website omit Vulcan where the Rx480 and Rx580 both Crush the NVidia 1060!! Not only that the 1060 compresses textures which produces artifacts - like watching an MPEG movie of your game - YUCK !!—Jun '17 CommentMy card was a 8GB Radeon model. The blower style fan was bad. It got so bad that I was afraid it was going to explode. The software was sometimes wonky as well.—Dec '20 Excellent25 days ago. Commentkept crashing on warzone —Feb '21 Commentreview for friend, constantly asking me for pc help, its an okay card but overall plenty of driver issues, rolled back drivers to improve performance (18.5.1) but to no avail... card still has issues. under performing card in general...—Feb '21 Good1 month ago. Its cheap and has great performance Good4 months ago. i used this card like 18 months and he crash Excellent29 days ago. Works well. Get a sapphire if you can. Excellent8 days ago. best card for budget for now. Excellent1 month ago. Working just fine, good for Fortnite at 200 fps Good4 months ago. This is a good GPU for less high detail settings, Running it for 2 years now with my first fast computer with no problems at all. High overclock ability and still is a good choice today. Excellent1 month ago. cheap and good, i will buy it on June Poor11 months ago. velocidad maxima de 30 mhz en minado sin overclock Good4 years ago. Still as awesome as RX 570 which is slightly lower priced and little weaker but gamers may buy RX 570 instead when they're concerned about the budget. Good4 years ago. Ok value, the rx 590 just puts it in a strange place. Excellent4 years ago. Best buy price to performance. Nvidia just suandaring people's pockets. They don't care for their consumers... Amd for the people. Excellent3 years ago. A good budget option without going for the bottom of the barrel. It holds itself up well compared to the 1650S. Would recommend this if you are going for more value though. Average5 months ago. A beast for the ultra-budget ballers. Excellent2 years ago. Great for mining and good price Excellent4 years ago. This is one of the best GPU's for price-to-performance ratio, for sure in the top 5. I buy these cards used for around $120-$140 all the time for my builds. This card is a direct competitor to the GTX 1660. Not only is it way cheaper than the GTX 1660, it also performs better in most benchmarks. Good3 years ago. Cheap, relevant in 2020, solid performing, what's there not to like? Excellent3 years ago. Really cheap and powerfull Excellent5 years ago. Great value card. Good7 months ago. Damn quite good performance for £88 on amazon can go 70+ fps 1080p easily on most if not all games Very good6 years ago. The 200$ Contender from AMD. I have mixed feelings with this one but you can always choose the 1060 instead of this really depends on what games you are going to play Excellent4 years ago. This GPU is a very popular and great choice for PC gaming during this time. It is priced competitively with the flagship NVIDIA GTX 1060, which in terms of performance, would be better than the RX 580, but the RX 580 has both 4GB models and 8GB. The 8GB model is slightly better than a GTX 1060 in most if not nearly all games. This card also has an appearance in many budget builds, due to its low price and high performance. For this age, this card is definitely strong enough to handle many new demanding titles at high settings. Excellent5 years ago. Great overclocker. Excellent4 years ago. My favorite budget gpu. Can handle games on high resolutions at avg 56-61 fps. Excellent4 years ago. This is definately one of THE best cards when it comes to value for the money. A great introduction card for gaming and light videoediting and rendering. Especialy since you can get the 8GB version for pretty cheap now. Excellent4 years ago. Best in it range of price! Terrible4 years ago. nope Excellent4 years ago. best deal on the market if you can pick one up used for around $100 Excellent4 months ago. Good card Excellent6 years ago. Speed / Price. Excellent5 years ago. I really like it. I got my ASUS ROG STRIX TOP to 1511mhz better then a 1060. Excellent5 years ago. Я таку маю! дуже класна! Excellent4 years ago. goot GPU with all setting on high 60+ FPS in Fortnite, gta V and all other sort games Poor16 months ago. Ran one of these for 2 years, then it shorted out. Performance isn't that good either for its price. Poor6 years ago. Overpriced thanks those miners Good5 years ago. Great performance value for money and an easy over-clocker. Excellent4 years ago. The cheapest 8GB VRAM you will ever get, which makes this card particularly useful for content creators. As for games, it is legit equal to the GTX 1060 6GB version. Except that it's cheaper and also has more VRAM. Buying this over the GTX 1060 is really a no-brainer. Excellent4 years ago. best gpu for a nice price totally recomend it and with 16gb 240gb ssd 1tb hdd a Ryzen 3 2200g all OC to his turbo frequency IT´S PERFECT Good4 years ago. good price, much power Poor3 years ago. quite slow Excellent6 years ago. balance model 300$ Good5 years ago. Terrible4 years ago. cool Good4 years ago. Has good support, plays 1080p games very well. Runs a bit hot with dual axial fans though. Average4 years ago. not a big improvement over the rx 480 Excellent4 years ago. Great value for money. Average4 years ago. it works perfectly fine for 60fps gaming on high settings, but it is lacking in the 144fps market. Excellent3 years ago. Really great GPU and I picked it up for £70 so absolute bargain Excellent2 years ago. I have been using this graphics card in my computer for 4 years now for all applications. Normal work, streaming and gaming. Everything goes with this graphics card. Excellent14 months ago. meow Average13 months ago. meh Excellent6 years ago. Outstanding. It may that I'm biased because I'm lucky enough to have the number 1 benchmark, but I still love this card. Excellent5 years ago. Picked up this GPU (8GB) for $175 shipped last month. Great price to performance! Good5 years ago. It seems like it's not as powerful as a 1060 overall, but with tests only ran in dx12, it performs better, making it probably more future-proof in my opinion. Probably best for 1080p, can be good for 1440p, and for some people, even its 4k performance can be tolerated Excellent5 years ago. Performs better in DX12 games than a 1060 and costs way less, definitely the best option for ultra 1080p gaming. Excellent4 years ago. One of the best price to performance cards Good4 years ago. Upgraded from a GTX 1060 3GB to this and had absolutely no issues so far. So much better, faster and easier to use. Excellent4 years ago. this is by far one of the best cards you could get for a budget and outperforms some really solid cards as well Good3 years ago. Handles games pretty well, severely bottlenecked by my fx 8300 tho so don't know it's true potential... Good2 years ago. the rx 580 was my first ever gpu. came with the computer that i bought and was really good at playing practically anything. however, in certain video games such as empyreon galactic survival i would have liked a higher teir gpu to max out all the graphical settings. the only thing i would prefer over this gpu would be a gpu that can perform ray tracing for minecraft and other games of course. |
