What has M$FT done to me now? A few days ago, I was fiddling around with the OneDrive Personal Vault. I was under the mistaken impression that it was someplace that I could save files. I don't know what I did, but ever since, the OneDrive folder has had a little red "X".
I have had all kinds of other problems. The one that just popped up is this one. I get this message when I try to save an Excel workbook.
What the heck is this and how do I get rid of it so my laptop will work like it has for years?
Thanks

PS: If I cancel the dialog above, I get this:
It then says it cannot access '//d.docs.live.net/Users/Me/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/Addins/My Addins.xlam".
That folder is on my C-disk, not in the cloud. I suspect my fooling around with my Personal Vault may have caused stuff to be relocated. I just checked and that file is still on my C-disk where it has always been.

PPS: What is really weird is that I get the error for a macro, but not for a function that is in the same add-in module. Then I checked the button control that I was using to call the macro. It had been changed to that same d.docs.live web page. When I tried to change it back, my system appeared to freeze just like it did when using a USB drive in this thread.

It turns out I had somehow turned on OneDrive backup. That caused it to move everything from my \Documents folder to a OneDrive folder on my C-disk. That caused Excel to change all of the links to the web. I got help from a OneDrive consultant to fix it.

Please read all of THIS TUTORIAL Cynthia so you can better work with this sophisticated piece of software. I choose to backup to usb devices I keep offline just because these backup programs can be a mess to work with. I have zero issues because my backup process is so straight forward compared to this ms abomination.
If I don't reply right away it's because I'm waiting for Windows 10 to Update.
